Who we are looking for

We are looking for an exceptional and driven Cloud and IT Operations Manager to join a growing team in Wakefield, MA. The Cloud Operations Manager is responsible for managing our SaaS platform’s performance. Here, your role will be to understand the demands being put on the platform and ensure AI Foundry is building/running the platform in the right way, to ensure optimal up time and performance. Additionally, you will be responsible for the Internal IT Systems for the AI Foundry Employees.

What to expect

  • Work with internal team and partners to provide 24 x 7 operational support for our Cloud Services. This includes Azure Hosting, Disaster Recovery, and Remote Operations Services
  • Serve as an expert on our operational performance, and devise innovate strategies for improvement
  • Define and implement the automation processes for cloud operations, including defining automation needs, usage of DevOps/system configuration tools.
  • Build and maintain the Cloud operations related Procedures and policies, define Key Performance Indicators and  security policies and procedures for Cloud Services.
  • Manage the relationship with the Cloud Hosting/3rd party providers.
  • Manage the Cloud Hosting budget, provide monthly/quarterly analysis on hosting cost/revenues.
  • Define and report Key Performance Indicators to monitor process health; define and report Customer facing service metrics.
  • Conduct System Outage Analysis to prevent the reoccurrence of incidents.
  • Support Sales/pre-sales and Marketing teams through fulfilling Hosting Design, Pricing,
  • Work to ensure security best practices, penetration testing, certifications are done and followed. 
  • Support internal employees on general IT needs.

What you need to succeed

  • 3+ years of experience in technical operations
  • Experience with  Linux/Azure environment with development/scripting responsibilities
  • Familiarity with microservice-based applications
  • Basic knowledge of enterprise Java and Python language/deployment stacks
  • Experience with relational databases (Postgres)
  • Experience with no-sql databases such as (MongoDB)
  • Experience working in a DevOps culture
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, ...)
  • Familiarity with container deployment/orchestration using Kubernetes
  • Experience with system monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
  • Experience with centralized logging using ELK
  • Preference given to candidates who have worked in fast growing startup environment
  • Familiarity with OAuth, OpenID Connect. JWT, ...
  • Experience with penetration testing, and participating in ongoing security hardening projects
  • Data privacy experience
  • MBA or MS in CS a plus
