AI Foundry is looking for a Senior Architect of Quality

Who we are looking for

Quality architect to lead the development and implementation of the Quality strategy for its Document Processing platform. Duties will include identification of key quality metrics, and the design/implementation of automated test frameworks to measure and monitor them. The tests assets will be integrated into CI/CD pipelines that will run automatically as changes are made to the application software. The Quality architect will work with the engineering, product management, field personnel, and customers to continuously improve the quality of the AI Foundry products.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Defining quality standards and metrics
  • Creating milestones and checkpoints and setting measurable criteria
  • Defining testing strategies
  • Developing test plan and testing cycle and defining process for review
  • Reviewing test status and reporting results to development team
  • Identifying risks and creating strategies to mitigate and manage those risks
  • Identifying process improvements

Skills and/or Knowledge Specifications

  • 15+ years of experience in testing enterprise software solutions.
  • Experience developing quality strategies for complex enterprise solutions. Work with customers, field personnel, product management, and engineering to understand critical quality metrics, and how to measure and monitor them as part of the software development cycle. 
  • Experience with both automated and manual testing, and deciding when to use both approaches.
  • The ability to communicate quality/test data; and building passion across the company for achieving quality objectives.
  • Understanding of, and experience testing distributed micro-services based software applications and architecture.
  • Experience with automated testing of: 
    • REST endpoints (e.g. Postman)
    • web-based user interfaces (e,g, Selenium)
    • clustered applications deployed using Docker containers
    • database transactions
    • component APIs (unit testing)
  • Experience testing highly available applications
  • Experience with performance/load testing using tools such as JMeter
  • Experience integrating testing assets into CI/CD pipelines using automation platforms such as Jenkins.
  • Experience building, managing, and reporting results for the execution of large collections of tests.
  • Familiarity with Java and Python programming languages.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages and deployment tools such as: Bash, Ansible, Chef.
  • Experience working with open source software components.
  • Experience working with cloud and on-premise virtualization infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, and VMWare. 
  • Experience working with agile software development methodologies such as SCRUM
